I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

I would just like to ask, if I call up NVC what information will they ask for because in the e-mail they are asking for many things. The reason is because I would like to know when my case was completed.

As long as you know your VC number or I140 reciept number they can find your case file. I know I emailed them a couple years ago with my reciept number and they emailed me back with my NVC number and answered my questions

We have the same PD Feb 2006. I called up NVC hotline but automated response is still the same about having generated visa fee bill letter blah, blah, blah.... I'd like to know, how did you find out that your case has been completed, was it through the automated response or you called up the assistance of an operator on the NVC hotline. My agency is not giving so much info on this matter. Had it not for the email i sent few years back to NVC, I wouldn't have known my case number. I would appreciate if you can shed me some light. Thanks!

Hi,
My lawyer received the letter from the NVC for my updated docs on May17. She then mailed my docs that same day. The NVC receives my updated docs on May 23rd. When I called the NVC's automated voice response after a week,it says that my case was completed on May 30th and wait 8 wks for further instructions....
Sorry for the wrong date. My lawyer receives the letter May 21 (not May 17), mailed back my docs that same day and received by the NVC on May 23rd.

Yes, at the start of the year to be exact January 2008, I was asked to prepare an updated documents by my agency such as updated DS230, recent 2x2 pics, updated nbi clearance, birth cert and marriage cert. because they are aware that once my case gets current, I am required to submit all these stuff again. Last August 2006, I was already documentarily qualified then retrogression hits us that same year. Anyway, keep us posted here about your case.
My case was complete on APR18 Pd Jun 05 i am still awaiting my case being forwarded to London embassy this is nearly the 8 weeks NVC tells you to allow for further instruction. Is there anyone who has a forwarded case already and how long did it take from time of completion, we really want it forwarded before visas run out so at the very least it is at the embassy and away from the NVC
My case was completed April 24th. NVC says to wait for 8 weeks for further instruction, 8th week will be next week June 19 with my pd still current. But with the dates retrogressed for July does this mean that on the my 8th week they will just let me know that there is no visa left for me? or is there a "little" possiblity that NVC already reserved a visa for me?......... I am just sooooo depressed right now.
