I graduated from nursing school back in April of this year, and my nursing class decided we needed a night out (bar crawl style) to celebrate. I double as a graphic designer and decided to create t-shirts that show why we are celebrating. Since then, I've decided to make this t-shirt design more universal so others can wear it.
It's the flawed logic of being helpful in a medical emergency while intoxicated at a bar crawl that is an issue. Doing anything other than calling 911 for EMS is not a wise choice
As far as wearing scrubs, fire, police, EMS uniform etc. to a local bar...that is acceptable near you must be regional as in my area it's grounds for termination for lack of professionalism or a morals clause violation as drinking in uniform implies drinking on duty.
Off duty, not on call, wearing street clothing do as you please without infringing on the rights of others (no drunken disorderlies, bar fight, driving while intoxicated, etc)
To be honest, because the statement is so general. It can apply to any profession that gives shots including veterinarians. I think this would be a fun idea and if you believe in it, run with it.
I think it's cool that you are also a graphic designer. Maybe I can use your service one day. A fun site to sell your shirts would be ETSY.
Good luck and I hope to buy one of your shirts soon!

When they do, they are not on call. They usually aren't wearing anything that indicates their jobs either.
Yes, we nurses have fun. Yet, we won't do anything that puts our licenses at risk. Having fun doesn't have to involve a bar crawl where lots of drinking goes on.
