Compression Stockings?

Hi all :) I am a new grad and starting my first job as a BSN, RN in a couple of weeks on a med surg unit. I have heard many nurses suggest compression stockings and some others say they didn't care for them.....So what are your thoughts/opinions on compression stockings? And if you like them, what is your favorite brand??

Love them! Im only a student but its part of our uniform and I think they're amazing. Not sure of the brand.

I love them. I wear them at work ( doctors office and when I'm working as a massage therapist) and at clinicals. They really do make difference in my opinion.

Do y'all wear the knee high ones?? The ones I'm looking at (total compression solutions) have knee and thigh- but the thigh high ones seem like they would be uncomfortable?

I always wore the knee high ones when I worked in the hospital. When I have a job where I regularly run all 12 hours every night, I'll wear them again. They made a huge difference for me.

It does help. My legs are not that sore when I get home from work.

Thigh highs with a garter belt, white as the fresh fallen snow!

No, I don't wear them, now. Nurse Mates, when I did.

I wore the all the way tights up when I worked nights, knee length 12 hour days and plain ol' short work out socks when I worked 8 hour days.

If you're working on the floor or on your feet all shift it's a good idea. I did and my BLLs were always happier for it.

And as an added bonus... It feels soooo good when you take them off when you get home.

I can't work without compression socks. Sensifoot are my favorite.

I wear nabee socks. They're pretty cute but they don't have many smalls in stock. I like wearing fun socks, those boring black knee highs aren't for me. They do make a difference, although I hate what seems like a sock induced muffin top near my knees.
