Nursing School in the fall already having a bachelors!

Published

Hi all! I'm new to Allnurses here, and have grown to like some of the community posts! I just figured I'd hop on, maybe ask a few questions and start to get to know people!

Anyways, I'm a male student who's finishing up their degree! I'm changing from a History Bachelors (As I graduate in May) to nursing, and further I am a veteran and served four years in the Army! Anyways, my question pertains to adjustment in nursing school; are there any veterans around here (male or female doesn't matter) that found Nursing school particularly challenging? Secondly! If you had a bachelors already, how did you adjust to a degree that was different in every way shape and form!!

Thanks so much for your answers ahead of time people! I look forward to getting to know you!!

Welcome to AN. We do have many members here that are discharged vets, active military and reservists. There's a section under Specialties that's specific for government/military nurses.

And thank you for your service.
