I think I remembered seeing a similar thread for 2014 and thought it would be fun to meet up with others who are at the same point in their journey to make some friends!

What classes/entrance exams do you have left?

I'm currently halfway through Winter quarter taking A&P II and Sociology, for Spring quarter my last class will be Microbiology. I also need to take the TEAS test in the Spring as well.

When will you begin submitting applications?

I'll start submitting my applications as soon as I have registered and paid in full for my Microbiology class (within the next few weeks).

How many programs will you be applying to?

3! I have other options I can try if those don't work out.

Have you already been accepted into a program?

Nope! I do think I have a very good shot at a couple of the schools I am applying to though!

What classes/entrance exams do you have left?

I'm currently taking A&P I, Microbiology, Nutrition, College Algebra. All I have left is A&P II which I might take in summer.

When will you begin submitting applications?

Applications are due beginning of May. As soon as I finish this semester, I have to submit my application with transcripts.

How many programs will you be applying to?

Only one. So I am hoping to get in. So nervous but I think I will get in. I hope.

Have you already been accepted into a program?

Nope! Application are due May 14. So letters wont be going out till end of May.

What classes/entrance exams do you have left?

This is my last semester of pre-reqs. I'm taking Physiology, Nutrition, American Lit. and Intermediate French. The french class is killing me oh my goodness...

When will you begin submitting your applications?

I submitted my application to UNC last December! I'm anxiously awaiting news, it's my #1 choice.

How many programs will you be applying to?

I hear back in March, so hopefully by then I won't have to apply to more schools ;). But if it doesn't work out I have 3 more nursing schools on the radar with April deadlines.

Have you already been accepted into a program?

I love seeing everyone going for similar goals :) Also love hearing about how everything is going!

What classes/entrance exams do you have left?

I am currently taking A&P I and II, medical terminology, and morals and medicine. I have to take a CPR class as well as the TEAS exam.

When will you begin submitting applications?

Right after I take the TEAS :)

How many programs will you be applying to?

Just one this semester, if it doesn't work out I plan on applying for a different program this Fall.

Have you already been accepted into a program?

No, but the program I'm applying for isn't competitive (words from the nursing advisor).

Hi all, This is a great thread! Wonderful way to "meet" each other!! =D

What classes/entrance exams do you have left? Currently taking Micro, Patho, Human Nutrition, and Writing in the Sciences. Took my HESI back in Dec.

When will you begin submitting applications? As soon as I passed the HESI I submitted my application.

How many programs will you be applying to? I only applied to this one program; however, if I didn't get a spot I still had time to take the PAX and apply at another school that's further away.

Have you already been accepted into a program? Praise the Lord YES!! =D Just found out Wednesday that I got one of only 32 spots (with an average of over 400 applicants each year)!!! I'm totally excited and nervous at the same time!! The plan is RN 2017; BSN 2018; MSN/CNM 2021

LOL ya, I feel ya.....I was talking to a friend of mine who is already a nurse and I asked her if there was a lot of competition for L&D positions at the hospital she works at ( because of course I think EVERYONE wants to be a babycatcher!! lol ) and she said, "No way---no one wants to work over there, they're always short-handed!!" (

What classes/entrance exams do you have left?

I have completed all of my pre-requisites and have nothing else to take so I'm not taking any classes at the moment, I'm taking a break from school until.....

When will you begin submitting applications?

I have already submitted one application for an LVN program. Unfortunately, there are no other LVN programs in my area so I don't have any other options.

How many programs will you be applying to?

Guess I just answered this question in the previous one lol, only one.

Have you already been accepted into a program?

Well, about 2 years ago I applied into RN programs because that's what I was going for first, I applied to 2 of them. One of them (which is the CC I'm enrolled in) rejected me, but I got accepted into the other program. HOWEVER, that program has a waiting list of like 4-5 years! I'm not going to just sit around and do nothing while I start a program so that's why I decided to get a few other classes done so I can try and do LVN first. Hope I get into this one!

I'm taking A&P 1, still have A&P 2 and Micro to take but the schools don't require or give extra points for having them done before applying. I've taken the Teas

Submitted three apps to the schools closest enough to drive too.

I wish, 2 of the schools I should hear from by the middle of March, the third I'm not sure as their deadline isn't till Feb 28th.
