As nurses, we know how valuable we are to the healthcare system as a whole. We also know that we are respected by the public. Nurses have consistently ranked in the top position of the Gallup poll with Americans rating nurses as having the highest honesty and ethical standards. How do our salaries compare with the overall respect and importance placed on our jobs?
In January 2015, members of allnurses and the larger nursing community holding an active nursing license were invited to participate in the first allnurses online nursing salary survey. Nurses turned out in droves resulting in more than 18,800 participants. The results, displayed in several interactive images, provided invaluable information about current salaries across the U.S. and Canada, allowing nurses to see how their salaries stack up.
Now it is time for the 2017 allnurses Nursing Salary Survey and we hope you will participate. The more questions you answer, the more complete our data will be. This survey takes about 5 minutes or less to complete. We listened to your suggestions and added a few more questions to help provide even more insight into the question of "How much do nurses make?" We will also try to shed more light on last year's findings that males make more than females. Last year the number of ADN and BSN nurses were a virtual tie. Will that change this year? What states pay the highest salaries?

A great big THANK YOU to Drexel University for sponsoring the 2017 Nursing Salary Survey.
If you hold an active nursing license and live/work in the United States, U.S. Territories or the Canadian Provinces, we would like you to participate in this year's nursing salary survey. Please answer the questions as they relate to your primary nursing job. If you have more than one nursing job, you may fill out an additional survey. Answer as many questions as possible.
The survey tool that we use will allow us to analyze and report the results to you.
EDITED TO ADD: Please participate in our 2018 Salary Survey

I need advice from anyone that has worked in a Assisted Living Facility. I just interviewed today for a LVN Health Director Position. I have been a LVN for 26 years, and have worked in doctor offices, clinics and hospital. I have never worked in a ALF. They said they are going to hire 2 other LVN for the floor. Told me my position would be overseeing the nurses and cna's. I would be doing assessments on patients that want to come to the facility, watch for changes, ect. Is this job typically paperwork and very little clinical/ I'm okay with it, because I have been doing clinical for a long time, and I was actually hoping there was not going to be hard physical labor due to I'm 54 years old and don't want to start over. Anyone with experience for this particular situation would be great. Thanks in advance.

 SOOOOO far away. Ok.
Did you see the results from the last survey? It takes time to analyze the data and create interactive graphs to see the relation between several factors. We have data from more than 18,000 participants. We plan on releasing pieces of the findings before the complete survey results.
Keep watching for updates.
