New grad LPN need a little advice on writting resume

Hello everyone! I recently passed my boards and am looking for an entry- level position as an LPN. I am having a hard time writting my resume. I just don't know what to include/ leave out. I don't expect anyone to write it for me but I was just hoping for a little advice or opinions on what to include in it. A little about me:

- Recently graduated lpn school (duh! Lol)

- was class president

- have 5 years experience as CNA in long term

- some college course work on pre-reqs

- worked in fast food as cashier about 10 years ago.

I am unsure as what to list as far as skills and such, I want my resume to be appealing. Any tips? Thanks in advance.

Congrats!! You have some eye-catching skills.

Leadership : Class President. Did you coordinate any projects? Why do you think you were voted CP? List those qualities that others see in you.

Extensive experience in patient and family satisfaction skills: CNA in long-term. Any short anecdotes that speak to this? Employee of the month, high pt satisfaction scores in your facility?

Reliability and loyalty: Did you have great attendance, and did you work in the same facility for all 5 years?

The cashier job is 10 years old, you could leave it off. If you include it, use something like "experience with public in fast-paced environment"

Keep the layout visually pleasing, with a balance of dense text and white space. Short paragraphs. Do not list lengthy descriptions of your clinical rotations. Put your Skills section near the top (above the fold). Leave off "references available on request" (it's a given). One font such as Arial, 10-12 pt, left aligned for a clean "look-good". One page, two tops.

Hope you have a letter of reference on school letterhead from a Clinical Instructor, it carries weight.

Spellcheck, edit and have 3 other people proof it when done. Good luck!
