Does anyone know how to get involved in doing nursing research? I would like to somehow find a research project and hopefully become involved somehow to see how its done but I have no idea how to start. Any ideas?

Are you a student or a nurse? If you are a student, then the best place to start is with your faculty advisor.
In a nutshell:
1) You need to do your research to determine if there is a need to do the research. This includes what is to be reseached, how it will be researched, what means you will use to measure your research, etc.
2) You must write up a proposal and informed consent which be approved by the Human Assurance Committee at your location
3) You must locate funding if needed.
4) You must locate study participants
5) You must analyze your data and show the relevence. If your hypothesis was incorrect, you must determine why.
6) The you write it up and hope for publication.
