Who is joining me in the 7th circle of hell?

This is my last class before Capstone and I am now regretting taking it amidst U.S. History II as that class is an insane amount of work.

So, who will be suffering through this with me?! Anyone??

***crossing fingers for a stellar group***

Does anyone else feel confused? There are a lot of files here.

Yup! Me!

If my group is in the DB already then it looks like there are 8 members - how big is your group?

And if I have 8 members, then I'm alarmed that none have introduced themselves yet. I blame this on the delay with the AC's. I don't think its fair to set the group work back a day like this.

I'm planning to spend my Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night shifts doing nursing work. I'm leaving Tuesday and Thursday night/evening for history. Hopefully this weekend I can get a week ahead in history and focus more on research next week.

I have had an anxious feeling in the pit of my stomach all day. It's been exhausting.

Anyone else have a coach last name that begins with "W" or a last name themselves that begins with "H"? I was SO hoping someone from here would be in my group!!

My head is spinning. I can't even begin to comprehend what is due this week - APA paper? Questions 1-5?? Ugh.

Oh, and of my 8 person group only one other person has posted anything and she asked what we should write for the intro.

Oh please dear Lord, please please have a decent group. I wrote a straightforward intro about how I heard the class was awful and I hope that everyone is respectful of others and meets deadlines. I'm sure I sound lovely.

223 pages of reading this week. Nope. Not gonna happen.

Any people from prior research courses have any light to shed on the best way to study? I feel like the quizzes are the only thing we can control but I also can't read 223 pages a week along with videos, assignments, and my history class.

Specializes in ICU.

What does JC form mean??

What does JC form mean??

This is the journal club article your group will select based on predetermined criteria that will be assigned by your coach. For week 1 I think you only focus on the first few items that are to be answered from the article that every one was assigned.

So today's OOH was pretty stressful and confusing. First off, there was no link for the OOH, and with the professor stating that OOH will open up at 1000, it didn't happen. On the DB's, practically everyone on there was griping about where the link was. Finally the link appeared, and people started joining OOH with audio off and on. The professor (honestly I don't even know who was speaking because of all the glitches) who was speaking was already going over #2b of the guidelines for critiquing a research article, and she was referring to an article that wasn't available for my section!!!! Talking about being lost, stressed, and confused?! She finally said towards the end that my section's article will be fixed and available as soon as possible, AND I had already started working on the prior article that was given. Wonderful.

This class is overwhelming as it is. I keep telling myself that this is only a 5 week course, but it's gonna be a rough 5 weeks.

I am really frustrated as well. I completed my part of the prof assigned article only to find out it was the wrong one. But you know I have another 4 hours to dedicate to doing it again while working nights and being up all day. Oh dear. Good luck to everyone

Wait so they changed articles on some people?!

Oy. I work nights too and have been cutting my sleeping to 6 hours or so in order to have evenings to work on the assignments. Plus get my history 1312 work done. Luckily I have heard from 5/6 group members and not only can they all string a coherent sentence together, they appear to be eloquent and intelligent and at least one of them has a 4.0. Hopefully this is a good sign, but I won't believe anything until I see it.

Apparently we all have jobs where we can prop the books open on the patients' bed and read instead of charting or giving medications. It's all good.

I've already quit reading and decided it won't happen. 223 pages in one week. Nope, not gonna happen. Plus videos, the assignment and you know, that little thing called life. Thank goodness these classes are 5 weeks.

They put it up and she covered all the questions, plus they are doing another OOH tomorrow. I'm debating whether to listen to that one as well to we if any more info is provided. Hopefully this helps you!

I wish! I'm in Texas. I'm in Goad's group apparently but still haven't heard from them. Considering this is my only day off until Saturday I'm pretty upset. The emails this morning were poorly written and border on unprofessional.[/quote']

I heard that your group couldn't get into the OOH until halfway through?? Or, rather, I read that in the chat bar when I went through the recordings. Yikes! I hope it all worked out for you!
