My thoughts are with you. I have had cancer and I know how stressful it can be. Yes, I worry about a recurrence all the time. But, I have to admit that I look at life much differently now. Birds sound sweeter, flowers smell better and the sky is bluer then ever. It kind of comes and goes. I have days when I feel more stressful and the stress tries to take over. I try to tell myself that I will not let cancer take over my life. If I have a recurrence then we will deal with it when we have to. Of course the self pep talks don't always work but sometimes it does. When you go through a life altering event like cancer, life does change as you know it. I think that is one of the hardest things to accept. The fact that life will NEVER be the same. Not only do I have the emotional side but I also have the physical aspect due to a bilateral mastectomy. Yeah, it's a bummer, but I'm grateful that something could be done for me. Do you see what I mean... things could always be worse. Try to manage your stress by really getting in touch with what is the most important to you. No matter if you have had cancer or not , everyone is at risk of developing something or dying.

If you want you can pm me. Just try to keep your head up and your spirits as well. When you think about, what exactly is stress? Is it self induced or is someone in your life who is stressing you out. I didn't mean to go on and on but I hope this is helpful.

Stress fills my life.... working full time, trying to be a halfway decent wife and mom, keep up a house, finishing up school. I have come to the realization that life will just never slow down.

But you know what---- the stressors I have are different from yours and some other peoples' on this board. My life has never been on the line (that I know of anyway) and my entire family is happy and healthy. You are stronger than I am. I bet I complain and whine about how I am so fed up with my stressful life about 10 times for every time that you have said it once.

You are the one who should be teaching me how to keep stress out of my life, girl!!!

Hang in there. Life will turn itself around, and one day things will be so much better for you---- because you deserve them to be.
