It depends on your schedule. Some nurses work three 12-hour shifts per week and have four days off every week. Other nurses work five 8-hour shifts and have two days off per week.
Some nurses work day shifts, others work evenings, and still others work night shift. Nursing is a 24-hour type of job because people become sick at all times of the day.
How long will it take to become a nurse? Well, that depends on the nursing program that you select, as well as the type of nurse you become (LPN or RN). In addition, things will go faster if you do very well in all of your courses the first time around. Drops, withdrawals, failed courses, and repeats will add significant time to your goal of becoming a nurse.
Good luck to you.

Why do you keep starting multiple threads on the same topic? It is annoying and makes people less likely to answer you

It takes as long to be a male nurse as it does to be a female nurse.
Why does it take longer

No one said it does. She said it takes as long to be a male nurse as a female nurse. There's no difference, school is the same no matter what gender you are.

It was a joke... :)
Lol ha
I was responding to this statement you made: "I'm just starting school to be a male nurse how long will it take??"
You are going to school to be a nurse. You just happen to be a male. Your degree is in nursing, not "male nursing". And for the true answer, how long it takes depends on the type of program you're in. It took me four years (5 if you count that I was on LOA for a year in the middle.)
