Nursing Grads/Almost Grads

Published

Hi :) So glad I found this site. I have a question for those of you whom have graduated nursing school or getting ready too. I have 2 weeks left of my nursing program before my last final. I was just wondering a couple of things that I don't hear people at school talk about it. Everyone always talks about the Nclex and then finding a RN position but my question is it normal to feel overly emotional upon graduating?! I cry thinking of myself signing in online to check my final grades and think OMG I did it.. of course nothing is ever guaranteed but I feel confident if i keep working hard I WILL graduate. I feel so emotional I think because this 2 year program has turned into 4 years for me because of illness and then because I failed one class so it was a big upset, Before I started my program I took my prerequisite courses 1 at time over 4 years so this has been 8 years in the making. I am so emotional and was wondering if anyone felt /feels this way? My biggest supporters have been my mom and dad so I am trying to think of a cute and fun way to announce to them I passed this last class. If any ideas please let me know :)

Congratulations!

I'm pretty emotional, and I know I'll be crying at graduation and pinning. I'm 34, and this feels like SUCH a long time coming. My parents and sibling didn't graduate from college, and it's just been such.a.long.road to get here. I LOVE what I'm getting into and the unit on which I have an offer (yay!).

Good luck with finishing up!
