Hey guys! So I have a question about Fayetteville Techs nursing program. I start in January!!! So exited I can't hardly contain myself but anyway, I have read reviews from 2012 that say it's unorganized but every time I've contacted them and had questions they've been great about keeping me up to date and answering my questions. Just wondering if anyone had any new reviews? Has the program changed in the last few years? Just want to know what I'm walking into! Thanks y'all
That's good to know. I did pretty good on my TEAS, and have passed all classes. Only thing is I'm having to take A&P 1 this semester and I will take part 2 in the summer.. I asked them if it would affect me getting accepted, but the nursing instructor (who is also my advisor) told me no, and she did my application for me. Lol. So idk, I guess that's what I'm nervous about. But I don't work as a CNA, my certification for that expired and since it wasn't required for the program I didn't bother trying to renew it, because it is for another state, and I would've had to go through a long process to get it in this state. Lol.
It is good that your getting anatomy and physiology done now, because it can be intense if you try to do it with nursing classes. When we applied we had to have our CNA so I work in home care, but another job you could try for that would get you into the hospital system and be flexible with school would be as a sitter at the hospital. It would give you good practice in working with some patients!
I already know what I'm getting into. Lol. My husband is in the army, so we have to move a lot. Last duty station I worked in the ER as a nursing student, because I was a nursing student.. Long story short, He came down on last minute orders to Bragg, and I found out I was pregnant. Tricare (our insurance) wasn't going to cover me down there, so I had to leave my program and come here and start alllllll over. Which is just fantastic (sarcastically, lol) But we will for sure be here for a while, at least long enough for me to finish.
Hey girl! I found this link and it is a bit old but it still has some useful information on how to calculate points etc. I hope this helps!

When you meet they are going to discuss a little bit about the program and show you a powerpoint I think (I can't remember a lot about the meeting). I think they give you the curriculum sheet and go over it with you and then tell you so many people applied and out of that only x amount will get in.
As long as you passed your TEAS and have your pre-requisite classes I think you will be perfectly fine! I know you are nervous, but try to channel it into getting some more experience! Do you work as a CNA right now? Maybe you could find a part time job and get some experience while you do school to add to your resume eventually :)
You've got this!
