  1. Hey there! It depends what all you have done in high school as well, such as chemistry and biology. Most people take basic biology and chemistry in highschool. Those are the basic pre-reqs for the program. The other classes such as BIO 168, BIO 169, ENG 111, and then ENG 112 OR ENG 114, PSY 150, and PSY 241 are all classes that you can earn points for that help you have a better chance at getting into the program. I didn't take chemistry in highschool so I completed that through FTCC. If you have completed chem and basic bio in highschool, you can complete all of those other classes in two semesters. BIO 168, ENG 111, PSY 150 can all need to be completed and you can do those within a semester if you choose to. It just depends what works best for you. Then you complete the remaining classes, BIO 169, ENG 112 OR ENG 114, and PSY 241 which can all be taken in a semester as well. These can all be taken online or in person, it's up to you. So long story short, two semesters to complete the classes above as long as you completed the basic bio and chem in highschool.
  2. Oh that one. I received that one too for the extra competitive points. I will be taking that this fall semester. I was thinking that the nursing curriculum such as the AP and psychology etc, classes had changed. I read that wrong.
  3. Just out of curiosity, what are the new requirements? I am unable to find them online.
  4. Hey all! Mind if I join in? Im a category 1 applicant as well!
  5. HARF's are out!!
  6. Okay good! I did the same thing and she did my app for me as well. I'll definitely add you on facebook!
  7. Hey girl! I applied for fall also and didn't get in because I didn't have my chemistry class. This go around I have the chemistry class and everything else done that I completed last year. I have 66 points. We should be category 1 applicants and since we have everything done and then some so hopefully we have a better chance this time. Did you reapply by manual application this go around? Praying to hear awesome news soon!
  8. Hey girl! I found this link and it is a bit old but it still has some useful information on how to calculate points etc. I hope this helps! http://sacs.faytechcc.edu/Documents/HealthApplicantProcess.pdf
  9. I had to make a new account, I was unable to access my other akb5050 one. Hope all is well!
  10. That's right! Sorry I had to go back and edit my last comment as well, I forgot that the AP would give you 16. I need to fix mine too! Lol
  11. Yes, you would have 70 points!:) that is great! I don't think you need to have the humanities/fine arts elective credit done, I just went ahead and completed it so if I am accepted into the program, I wouldn't have to take that one along with the nursing classes so I can focus on those ones and give them my all.
  12. I think I have 78 points. What about you? Do we get points for that one class at the very bottom of the nursing program sheet that outlines all the classes? It's a humanities/fine arts elective that must be taken prior to or in the last semester of the nursing program. I completed it already with an A so I'm not sure if I factor that one into the points as well?
  13. Alrighty, well time will go by quick! It seems like just yesterday we started chatting about he program and it's already been almost two months. We get points for all the pre-few classes listed on the nursing brochure other than the humanities fine arts elective, correct?
  14. Hey! :) I only saw the confirmation page but I saved it for my records just in case. On the confirmation page it says that we'd received the HARF email approximately 6-8 weeks after the date of applying in web advisor. Do you happen to know the amount of points needed or around the number they are aiming for this year? I passed all of the pre-reqs with A's and B's as well.
  15. Hey everyone! My previous account on here is akb5050 but I kept getting locked out of it so I made a new one. I finished all of the pre-req courses as well as the TEAS, and applied so now I am just waiting to get in as well. Has anyone heard anything new yet? I'm so restless waiting to hear something.
