Nursing with felony

Published

I am applying to nursing schook in August. 16 years ago I received a non violent felony and I've paid my dues.. I also received a pardon.. I went on to work as a CNA for 8 1/2

years which shows I can be trusted during clinicals.. etc.. I have worked in retail as a store manager the past 5 years, which also shows the trust in me as a person.. I have gotten my DON, several LPNs, fellow CNAs, the ombudsmen, and my previous DM in retail to write character reference letters on behalf.. I am trying to take the guess work out of whether I can be trusted during clinical and show that I deserve this chance! Does anyone have any advice on this that could help?

This section of the site may interest you. There's quite a bit of variation with outcome, but you may get a rough idea.

Hi.. my situation is very similar... How did you present your case to nurses board at your college?

Have you consulted an attorney to inquire about getting your record expunged?
