:D I am the president of the nursing club...I need some fundraising ideas. We were thinking of maybe doing clip boards with calculator...any idea where to go? What else could we do? I need all the help I can I kinda got thrown into this.

Thanks!!!

Our SNA group sold candles, candy bars, had bake sales. When I first started nursing school, the SNA sold the clipboards w/calculators, name tags for stethoscopes, stethoscopes, B/P kits. I'm sure you'll think of some neat things to sell. Good Luck!;)

When I started last month the 2nd years were selling scopes, t-shirts, and tote bags. They took me for quite a bit of money....

:)

Ever tried doughnuts on campus? Worked well for us. We are also trying to come up with a parking space raffle because parking at our school is HORRIBLE!!! I'm talking if you don't arrive 15 mins. early you have a serious walk on your hands. That's for an 8 am class. AFter that, you are DEFINATELY walking a bit. Maybe that could be a viable option at your school.

Best fund raiser I ever came up with was Tarot cards - no joke at $5 a pop I made $80 in a morning!!! You can do it as a gag in the campus eatery - dress up as Madam Fortune and go around reading tea leaves - easy - tell all the accountants that they will find thier balance, the engineers that they have a blueprint for success and nurses that they will be doomed to a life of hard work and no money:chuckle If you can find a wit who will have a lot of fun with the "customers" and only charge a small amount people will line up for the gag. I have seen it done where the profit was in selling the cups of tea and the fortune teller was a free side act. That worked well too.

Our school's sna chapter sold gym shorts with RN2B across the bum - very cute and they sold out. You could also do t-shirts with that on them.

T-shirts. Maybe some of the local hospitals, nursing homes, agencies.... would be willing to sponser the shirts to offset the costs.

Avon has fundraisers. Try looking for a representative in your area and ask for info.

Our SNA just got done selling pizzas. Our cut of the profits was over $800. We just went in with a local pizza place in town that helps with those sort of fundraisers. We also sell T-shirts.

Good Luck!
