Hi, I really love kids and I am thinking into the future about what would be best working wise when I have young kids. I was really thinking about a school nursing job, like elementary school specifically? Does anyone know the salary differences? Or if you need any extra schooling for a school nurse? I am in LPN school now and am eventually going to get my RN and then hopefully BSN, so it will be a few years, but have just been thinking about it recently.
Bump?

Where I live you make significantly less as a school nurse than a hospital nurse and you must be a BSN. However, it's one of those do what you love positions.

Well, I am not sure where you are from but I live in Pa and I start my first nursing position as a school nurse in the beginning of the school yr thru an agency. In other states additional schooling is necessary but as for me I have no additional training or certficiates only my LPN license.
