  1. and again I am NOT a PDN!!!! So you can take that up with the agency, it doesnt matter school nurse or health assistant/ I will still walk away with a paycheck! Have a good day! I will be working.in a school at the end of the day! Maybe you should.focus your time.on.something more important..
  2. Yes, In Pa it is the same.
  3. Yes, I'm not sure what you are trying to clarify. & When i applied for the position it stated "RN or LPN" to work as a school nurse. So that's why i labeled myself as a school nurse. I will not be a PDN, as I stated above a LPN can work in a school setting as long as a RN is in the school or a phone call away. I am not sure where your from but every state is different. I dont mean to be rude but I have nothing to do with how you addressed yourself. Honestly doesnt really matter how i addressed myself as long I follow my scope of practice and work under a RN. I simply asked about any LPN's exp working as a nurse in a school... Thanks :)
  4. Thank you! I actually found online at psea.org that a LPN cannot function independently in a school setting and has to be overseen by a CSN. A CSN doesnt have to directly oversee a lpn but has to have mininum, periodic regular communication.
  5. Congrats!!! I felt the same way lol. I took my NCLEX in april on a weds, found my license number on the boards on thurs and graduated on fri. So you can imagine how great I felt, but i too thought I failed the test miserable my test stopped at about 85 ?'s i thought for sure it was over lol. Majority of my questions were SATA it was HORRIBLE especially when that was my weakest in nursing school. But good luck on your journey becoming a new nurse!!!
  6. Well, I am not sure where you are from but I live in Pa and I start my first nursing position as a school nurse in the beginning of the school yr thru an agency. In other states additional schooling is necessary but as for me I have no additional training or certficiates only my LPN license.
  7. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has any info on a LPN working as a school nurse in PA. I am starting my first job as a school nurse employed by an agency. What is an LPN role as a school nurse??? Any pointers would be helpful.
  8. Hello, I was wondering if you started the school nurse position with Delta T group. I was actually hired and suppose to start at the beginning of the school yr also.. Just wanted to know about the experience working as a LPN school nurse...
  9. And of course my school isnt NLN accredited either! So what were the results when you challenged, It looks like I am going to have to do the same .. ughhh
  10. Thank You I appreciate it! I am going to look into it..
  11. Hello,, I recently graduated from Prism Career Institute and I was wondering if any previous students enrolled in a LPN-RN program. If so did any of the credits transfer over ?? I am currently looking into the RN program at DCCC and wanted to know if anyone else has taken this course.
  12. Thanks you guys.. I've applied to a few manor care facilities in my area...
  13. Hello, I am a newly licensed LPN looking for employment. I am fully aware that is VERY tough finding a job being a new nurse. A lot of facilities will not hire new LPNs unless they have at least 1yr exp.. I'm kinda getting discouraged because it seems as if I will never find a job. So if anyone has any facilities in mind that will hire new nurses could you please let me know!! Thank You
  14. Thank You!!! I am sooo late!! congrats to you as well!!
  15. I had around 30 SATA also!! I coudn't believe it!! lol But I HOPE this pop up works in our favor!! Good luck
