We have Care plans in place, but on occasion it is necessary to write one that we don't have on the computer.
The following is a link to a book on Amazon.com-this is what we use to write the care plans....
(also what I used in school---wonderful tool!)
We are a very small hospital - 59 beds. The department of health wants to see a plan of care on each patient. I think care plans or care maps would be the way to go. If we can get a product that has prewritten plans - it would certainly yeild higher compliance. Thanks for responding.
I'll have to check when I go back in, the orderable to trigger it is plan of care - develop set this once and then q24H we have plan of care review & revise, I think it can be found in ad hoc charting too, it's been there since I first started learning it almost 3yrs ago at first clinical.

Does anyone use a company for their basic plans of care (like Lippincot or Mosby)? We are trying to develop care maps and I would like not to have to start from scratch if possible. Thank you!
