l have just graduated as a div 2 nurse, yet to start work. Got my fingers in a few pies.

This forum for aussies will be good for when l ask for advice, as not sure if any replies from other countries are applicable. Especially as l'm a little stressed about going from school to the work environment.

Leeca,

Congratulations on becoming a nurse!

WELCOME to the profession. May you enjoy many years of fulfilling & happy experiences as you grow & learn. REMEMBER, ALWAYS maintain a sense of humour! It's vital!...

You'll find plenty of support here on the BB.

BEST WISHES

Cheers,

Grace

Welcome Leeca -

and congratualtions on your qualifications new nurses are a vital ingrediant in keeping the nurses in nursing. I hope you find a position that you want - however if you dont immediately remeber it is with the expereince that you gain that will give you the confidence to continue. Its also great to consolidate your expereince and put your new knowledge into practical experience - Dont ever be afraid to ask why something is done and if the peeron isnt cooperative that is their loss - they may not remeber what it is like to be new and starting

Look after yourself and importantly use all the equipment that is supplied to protect yourself particularly if you are doing any lifting

Good luck

Tookie
