Dear Nurse Beth,
I am a 60 year old male nurse. I graduated with a BSN in 2017. Since then I have had two jobs already. The first was at a maximum security prison that I left after two months. The second was as a hospice RN in an inpatient acute care hospice working the night shift which I left after nine months because I started to feel my health was taking a hit. Now I'm not sure where to go given my age and experience. I am prior military.
Dear 60 Year Old,
You might consider dialysis as it's a day job, assuming the nights were taking a toll on your health. Sub acute may also be an option because it's easy to get into without much experience, as is Behavioral.
