I was also required to buy a book on abbreviations. But the one thing that you have to remember is that most hospitals have their own list of accepted abbreviations that they use at their institutions. I would ask your clinical profs at the beginning if they could supply you with this list. Good luck

Hi! I am going back to get my RN degree....only have a few classes left to take. I have not been in school in several years and currently studying like hell to regain all the knowledge from when I first went to school. I am looking for a sheet of paper or a web site or anything that has nursing abbreviations on it for when you document something....ie....bid= twice a day....can anyone help me?Thanks in advance.........
