Nurses on probation

I have been a Nurse in good standing, without any blemishes on my license since 1973. Recently, I had three ill bunnies in cages in the house, on I'M medications. My husband told me I am getting rid of them=killing them.I panicked and pointed my pistol( on safety) at him and told him he was not going to kill them. He called the police, I was arrested for assault and taken to jail. He did not press charges and the court put me on probation fora year and gave me Defered JudificationI applied fora position at LTC. Today I received a certified letter from the Texas Board telling me I have to appear with my Attorney fora hearing and pay 1,200.00$. Which will not guarantee my continued licence. My lic is in good current standing but no one will hire me due to being on probation.

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions. I do not have the $ 1,200.OK.

    Please contact your malpractice carrier if you have one as they will represent you before BON.

    Assault is a barrier crime to a lot of nursing jobs. As noted above, you need a lawyer to go to the BON- fact.
