Nurses Day is coming up and I'd like to get something nice for my RN mentor. What would be a nice gift for the nurse that probably has every "RN" trinket there is?

I think the best gift would be a lovely card that expresses how much you have appreciated your mentor's help and what a great nurse you think they are. Lord knows there are not enough positive, loving stroke given to nurses!

The card is a great idea, but go a bit further: write a letter of appreciation for your mentor, to the mentor's superior. Such letters are unbelievably rare, and might be a big help during the mentor's next work evaluation.

The letter is a good idea; a gift certificate to go with it, for a massage, or manicure or pedicure, if she likes any of those things.

I agree that a card to her and a letter to her supervisor is wonderful. i still have some that were given t o me many years ago, and when i am in "career crisis" or feeling like i dont make a difference , i take them out and read them. is she a coffee drinker? dunkin donuts or starbucks gc s are always welcome!!
