Hello everyone. I would like to ask if you know any hospitals in metro manila accepting nurse trainees this august 2013? I graduated last april 2012..I completed my bls acls (AHA), IVT trainings first and now I plan to apply to hospitals..my work experience is limited (2 mos staff nurse trainee in a dermatology clinic). Help pls. Thank you!
I chose medical-surgical ward though. If I don't receive any text from any of the hospitals this month.. I am thinking of just undergoing a dialysis training instead.PS: Do they prefer UST grads, anyway? :S
I think they are ensuring first their graduates make a spot for the training :) , i'm planning to try other hospital if incase this training won't work out. Well goodluck to you.
I graduated in 2008, and after five years of working/meddling/fooling around in one of those deskjobs, about 2 months ago, I quit my job in hopes to practice nursing. I just got done with IVT at St Dominic Medical Center here in my hometown, Bacoor city. During the training they said they are accepting applications, take note, applications for trainees. I am yet to submit mine coz I am not yet done with my completion of 3 -3-1 cases requirements. People are nice and accomodating. No fees for 3 months training, or no mentions about it. I am hopeful about my nursing career since 2 hospitals are about to open here: Bacoor Doctors & SAMCI. So if you're from MNL and Bacoor is not too far, I suggest you try your luck here. Goodluck!

My friend and I tried passing at Bacoor Doctor's. The HR told us that they'll just text us for the schedules of an interview and exam. We went there around late July. No update until now
Did anyone pass their requirements at Cardinal/ UST/ Medical City/ St. Lukes-GC last July and have received a call/ text from them already?Or do you have any news as to what approximate dates will they be calling for an exam/ interview?
I passed mine late July for SLMC-GC. I qualified for batch 9 of their training program. PGNT Batch 9 is due to start this September. I'm guessing they're still conducting interviews because they still have no updates yet re the training.
Hi! I just recently passed necessary reqts at usth also, around 2nd or 3rd week of july and haven't receive any text or call from them yet up until now. my preferred ward was ob/pedia i think. Do you guys just receive a text from them? And how true is that they require above 80% board rating?
Hi Anj20! I just ended my three-month training in UST Hospital under their Medical-Surgical Nursing Skills Training Program. They usually don't require above 80% board rating, but after the training, they (the NSO) will evaluate the performance of their trainees and submit a "list" of the qualified nurse trainees for deployment to their HR department. It is HR department's criteria (80% or above board rating) for you to be included in their manpooling, not the NSO. I got this information from the HR dept. This also means that even you underwent their training, it is not a guarantee for you to be included in their manpooling (ex., if you don't get good grades from your performance) As for the training, you just have to submit your requirements as early as possible, but during this season they mostly prioritize their graduates (those who passed the July boards). I hope it answers your concerns.

Hi! When did you pass your requirements in SAMCI? :)

hi omgellieoh! How long did you wait before receiving their text (SLMC-GC)? did you also leave your application with the Guard? :S thank you!

Hi there! I passed my resume at the HR. I really don't remember how long I waited but my estimate is around 2-3 weeks. I'm having second thoughts though because I've heard that qualifying for PGNT doesn't guarantee employment in SLMC-GC
I have not yet passed anything in SAMCI. I just got done with my completion of IV cases. Maybe i'll wait for my IVT card first. :)
Oohhh alright. It will take you 2-3months. That was my waiting period. I just want to ask again, how was your application in BDMC? I took the exam there last May30 for the logic then Aug28 for the rest of the exam. I will follow up it there maybe tomorrow. Lastly, SAMCI have been operational already for along time. If you want try ST.MICHAEL MEDICAL CENTER in molino 2. If you are not doing anything you can settle for a 15 bed Level 2 hospital.
