How much does a nurse tech make in hospitals in MD?

UMMC pays $15/hour during the week and $18/hour on the weekends. I assume you are referring to a nursing assistant or patient care technician.

Northwest Hospital pays Nursing Associates (student nurse techs) $13.25 an hour. They have a very flexible schedule.

Are you currently working at Northwest? And by any chance did you have clinicals there ? I just completed Fundamentals of Nursing, and we had clinicals on the subacute unit. I really like this hospital! Did you just fill out the application online? Or did you by chance speak with HR or the unit manager? Sorry for all the questions! :)
I did not have clinicals there, but I actually just got a job there working as a what they call a "nursing associate." It is essentially a student nurse tech. I filled out an application online and they called me after about a month. I went in for an interview a week after they called me - I interviewed with the HR person and the nurse manager of the floor I'm working on. It's really a very very nice place - everyone is really friendly and they are really nice to students/new grads. They are having an orientation the week of july 17th, so make sure you apply as soon as possible.
This job just went up yesterday, you may have a chance at it!

Did you hear back from them?
No, but my semester starts again @ the end of July, and I'm pretty sure I'm doing clinicals again @ Northwest. So I think on clinical day, I will try and stop by HR and ask about any openings they have:)
Hey maybe ill see you! lol
Maybe! I'll be in the group with the ugly uniforms & lab coats lol:lol2:
