Florida Years of Experience Requirement to sit for the NCLEX

World Registration

Published

Hi nurses,

If there is a minimum number of years or hours of experience required to be able to sit for the NCLEX RN in Florida, what is it? This is for initial application not for endorsement.

Thank you so much!

Um, how would you be required to have experience BEFORE you are licensed? That's doesn't make ANY sense.

The thing is, I have been out of practice for about 10 years @meanmaryjean

But have you ever attempted NCLEX? Anywhere?

A better question would be did you graduate from an RN program? You can't take the NCLEX RN if you didn't.

I'm considering Florida. Yes I'm an RN in the Philippines. But haven't worked since I got to the US.

Ah- you might want to search the IEN forums here. Many nurses from the PI post here, and they are a wealth of information.

Good luck!
