2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

World Registration

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Hi jedprowell11! Usually it takes 10-14 days for the barcoded forms to be uploaded at the NMC portal. Check the drop down NMC option and choose MY APPLICATION. You will see if they have received your documents there. If there is no indication that your documents were received then you might as well call them.

Hello everyone! Similar to you guys, I am also awaiting my decision letter from the NMC. I entered the queue July 24, and as of typing this post, it's my 53rd day of waiting. The assessment officer got in touch with me last Sept. 8 and asked to explain the gaps in my employment history by responding to his email. After doing so, I waited for a full week and got no response. Then, I called the NMC last Sep 15 to verify if they received my response and what's up with my decision letter (like why are they keeping it hostage? just kidding) and I was told that I should wait for another week, and call back by Friday. A week came and went and no decision letter is still given to me. I called again today and was simply told to wait and check my email from time to time.

Hi pmo88, it seems we have a similar kind of experience and an almost identical queuing date, mine was on the 25th of July and as for counting the days you should count the working days, overall today is your 44th day because they have a banking holiday last August 28. On September 13th NMC emailed ME regarding my gap also, they require me information about it also a self-declaration that I have not work overseas. I need to upload it as "Additional ID" on my portal so I did all of that but when I checked my uploaded file it did not reflect so asap I emailed NMC with the needed document after 5 days they replied that it was already uploaded after another day I received my DL. In your case you are in touch with your assessor based on what I had read on the other group they will reply instantaneously I don't know but just be patient as long you sent the required docs your DL will come.

Hey guys..sorry for not updating you on time.. i have already received my DL last 07 Sept.. according to the agent on HCL, there are no problems or errors regarding the bar coded forms that i submitted.. its just that, it took too long because the agent on NMC verified the police clearance from italy that i gave them (yes, bec i lived there for a year/ i am required to submit one) which took another (approx.) 2months for me to wait.

Currently, i am done with my medical tests, waiting for my visa appointment.then, the application for certificate of sponsorship.. my departure would probably be on 3rd week of October (accdg to my agent)

I wish you all the best guys! We're all going to the UK! Claim it! 😉😇👽

thanks for the reply lukecerdz! i got a bit confused because in the website it says calendar days but their email said working days. anyway, yes, my assessor indeed sent me an email but after sending him my CV, i received no response. i guess i'll just have to be a bit more patient. congratulations to you and thanks so much for your input!

Hi!

I called the NMC today and they told me Inwas already on queue since Sept.29. So it's the waiting game for me now! I'm so anxious because my barcoded reference forms does not have a stamp! Instead, I attached a letter coming from my reference persons that they do not have an official stamp used for official correspondence. We really don't, we used our ID numbers for electronic signatures, and we enter things on our system.. hmm. The hospital did not give me the HR stamp because they said I wasn't officially resigned yet. I hope the letter using the hospital's official letterhead would be just fine. Crossed fingers!!!😫😫😫

hi inisha,

I encountered the same problem as yours .My first submission was on June 6 th and (same queries as yours), resubmitted on August 23 rd. So far no updates from NMC. By the way did u receive your DL?

Hi everyone, need help on my decision letter query.

Here's my status:

My application entered assessment queue on 7th June. I got an email from NMC on 31st July, that they want some further information, basically, two information:

1) My current employers letter head stating that my current role required an active nursing registration and a blank copy of employer reference form 1 (front page copy) along with it.

2) My updated CV to be uploaded showing all the gaps in experience. It needs to be uploaded under additional ID proof documents section.

I did the same as required above and resubmitted my application. So, my application went under assessment queue again on 17th Aug.

Can you please tell, how much time does it normally takes to re-assess the required docs. It has been more than two months now when it went under assessment queue first time on 7th June. This is hell frustrating. Hope my application doesn't need another 60 days to re-assess after re-submission...

hello Inisha,

I am facing the same problem as yours , entered queue on june 6 th , enquiry on 30 th July, re entered queue on August 23 rd. Still no update from NMC. Did you receive your dl by now

I think a letter from your hospital is needed to accompany those forms which contains the main reason why the forms does not have the official stamps.

Hello everyone! Is there anyone here who had previously treated PTB and got an IOM TB clearance? I had my xray in the IOM last 19 September but since I showed them my medical certificate and previous xrays because I had a history, they told me that I needed to do an sputum exam which will take 9 long weeks before I get my medical certificate from the IOM (hoping and praying that there will be no growth) and I am expecting to have it by the first week of December. Basically there is a delay in my visa application, in addition to that, by the time that I will have that tb clearance my certificate of sponsorship will be expired by then. I am not sure if the hospital that I am applying to will be able to extend or request for another certificate. Would you mind to share if you guys also had an sputum exam and the result. Was it clear after 9 weeks? I have searched the internet for enormous times but I could not find a forum which says that they got the clearance after 9 weeks. I'm afraid that all those who undergo the sputum exam are eventually advised to undergo the treatment. I guess I cannot take that anymore, tb treatment was really hard and I suffered a lot of med side effects, my pulmonologist was even confident that my ptb last year is healed.

Thank you so much your response will be very much appreciated.
