Hi, I've been surfing through old threads and googling.

Here are the 100% online FNP programs I've heard about thus far:

1. University of Alabama Birmingham

2. University of South Alabama

3. Vanderbilt

http://www.nursing.vanderbilt.edu/msn/index.html (can not find anything about online part though?)

4. Rush University

5. Midwestern State University (coming soon)

6. University of Southern Indiana

http://health.usi.edu/acadprog/nursing/msn/fnp.asp

7. Frontier School

http://www.midwives.org/academics.asp?id=160&pid=63

Is that it?

If you know direct URLs (websites) for any of above, please ad.

Please ad more schools. Thank you.

Thomas Jefferson university is completely online, with clinicals in local area.

Duke is online with a required campus visit (once a year, I believe).

East Carolina Univ., Greenville, NC is online with the exception of 7 on campus dates for labs throughout the curriculum and clinicals are in your area. Only accept 30 student per year though. www.ecu.edu

Specializes in Step-down ICU.

I could be wrong, but UAB has two required times to be on campus, you may want to double check.

Frontier requires you to attend "frontier bound" (4 days)at the start of the program and "clinical bound" (8 days) before clinicals. They are both on campus in KY, but other than that it is a distance program. I've worked with midwives that went thru this school ~ they are excellent!

I'm sorry, but which one is UAB ? Thanks

Specializes in Pediatrics, Med-Surg.

Stony Brook University is completely online with the execption of a 2-3 day orientation which is onsite and is required for all canidates. They have Adult/Psych/Family/Women's Health/CNM Clinicals are in your area. They also have a DNP program which is online but I'm not sure if or how many times you are required to go onsite.

The University of Alabama-Birmingham

Saint Louis University

I guess this could be the solution to my "PharmD VS NP" indecisiveness.

(I like material taught in pharm school but want the autonomy and the scope practice as an NP)

If I can attend PharmD on-campus and NP online simultaneously, this would solve everything. Most program want me to follow their timeline and either want me to complete clinical at certain time or go to campus at a certain time, which is risky considering the inflexibility of the on-campus PharmD program.

I want the online programs that give me flexibility with timeline and schedule--which probably do not exist.... so I have to choose.

University of South Alabama also has required campus visits for the FNP program
