  4. Hi, I've been surfing through old threads and googling. Here are the 100% online FNP programs I've heard about thus far: 1. University of Alabama Birmingham 2. University of South Alabama 3. Vanderbilt http://www.nursing.vanderbilt.edu/msn/index.html (can not find anything about online part though?) 4. Rush University 5. Midwestern State University (coming soon) 6. University of Southern Indiana http://health.usi.edu/acadprog/nursing/msn/fnp.asp 7. Frontier School http://www.midwives.org/academics.asp?id=160&pid=63 Is that it? If you know direct URLs (websites) for any of above, please ad. Please ad more schools. Thank you.
  5. How much is their program for out-of-state'rs ?
  6. Thank you. I'm off to google this program and see if I can find more info. Thanks
  7. Thank you. I wish there where more. :)
  8. I've seen this online too. The problem is that it doesn't include "all" ... despite the url Title. For example, I goto Psyh NP school, put in my zip code, and get NOTHING. Then put in my state, NOTHING. That's ridiculous because University of Texas offers a NP Psych program. So if they don't include this large well known program, what else are they omitting? I imagine it's not a comprehensive source because the schools have to PAY to advertise there. Anyone else? Thanks
  9. Is there a thread or resource that has a list of online / distance learning Psych NP Schools, where you can do all the coursework online and coordinate locally (wherever you live) for clinical hours ? Thanks in Advance.
  10. Thanks John, I've tried that, only problem is I can't find anything in the ER . Medsurg? sure ICU? sure Psych? Yeap No ER anywhere I can find.
  11. I need help. I live in Ft Worth, TX. I've got 2 semesters left before I graduate. I've been trying to get a job in ANY local ER. A tech job, nurse internship, ANYTHING. I'll sweep floors, answer phones, ANYTHING. How do I accomplish this? I've called and I feel as though I'm getting the complete RUN-AROUND. One hospital said, We wont hire until October. Another said ER if off limits for new nurses and students. Another hospital said No positions open, check back later on our website. Etc. Etc. Any advice/help? I've also tried networking and I can't find anyone in ER that I know or anyone I know in hospital that can help me? Frustrated and Desperate. Thanks in advance.
  12. Thanks Ivan, that seems to be the local (Tx) consensus I'm getting as well, but mostly from RN's. Thanks
  13. Hi, What would be the best educational route for someone who wants to do two things: 1) Be NP in ER, 2) Be FNP with side clinic of their own (outside of ER)? Thanks
