I started home health less than a year ago and boy do you have to use what you have. I am becoming a better critical thinker because of this. Sometimes I do worry whether or not I made a good decision. So far so good. Lately very interested in computer science and plan on persuing an IT degree. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

What a wonderful idea. I have learned so much in my career as a RN over the past 15 years by both having had mentors and eventually becoming a mentor, preceptor utilizing knowledge my peers share with me whether it be in the clinical setting or media online such as blogs and articles. Nursing has become so diverse and ever changing with demands increasing to provide the best care for the patients we have in our various settings.

I consulted for a few years using online resources blogs, articles as well as speaking at health and wellness fairs when requested to do so by my clients hosting the events. It really did entail alot of research and planning on my part to make certain what I shared in any form was information that was factual informative and useful for the patient or target audience the practice was trying to engage. I found myself using multiple resources on my projects. My peers helped to enhance or even present new subject matter with written articles, blogs, member forums and podcasts.

i was learning something new each day and still do to this day.

i love learning as much as sharing and I use any possible avenue available to me which is now almost always accomplished using a resource online. Most anything related to my field is done online these days other than the hands on clinical skills practiced and even with this came EMR's to reconcile into practice.

I would love to write about topic matters sharing advice and even mentoring if it would benefit someone like myself to find what is out there of interest to others which is so subjective and vast.

I am very interested in participating.
