Hello, I am in the Air Force. I recently applied to the 2010 Nurse Enlisted Commissioning Progam (NECP). I am waiting for the board results. Anyone else out there as anxious as me?

2012RN2B and myself are anxiously awaiting these results to come out in June. It would be nice if the results would come out next week right after the board but we all know how that goes.

I got word that there are 86 applicants, 50 slots...anyone else hear anything?

zx7chelle,I've heard 86 apps, 50 slots, and also that only 41 of the 72 that made notification of intent to apply actually got there apps in on time. I'm not sure which story is fact.

That would be fantastic! 41 applicants! I am so stressing... you know how much work goes into this. If you can get a seat in a nursing program...you pretty much kick a**, right? Anyways, I really wish you the best and hope you get to go. Keep me posted if you hear anything, ok?

I certainly will. I was debating w/ myself on whether or not they would actually tell me how many applicants they had if I called up to AFPC. I think I might do that I figure the worst they can do is refuse to tell me. Any info I get I will be sure to share

I have heard 87 and then the 27 a few post back from faye...........I am hoping for the 27+14 rather then the 87. Well everyone,,,,,our applications will be look at tomorrow thru Thursday......I hope the best for all of us.....maybe 2 years from now, we will all be in the same COT class and then on to NTP...........

I'm hoping for the 41 as well. I start classes this week so hopefully that will keep me distracted enough so that i'm not stressing like I was about the AECP boards.

I hope everyone makes it. The info I got was from an email my husband received from the Chief Nurse on 4/22/2010... it read...

"I wanted to let you know I heard this evening on our PACAF SGN teleconference that AFPC has received 27 complete packages, they are currently working on 14 for a total of 41. There were 72 who had stated they were going to apply and they will most likely accept some after the due date."

I hope they didn't accept some after the due date. Let the countdown begin =)

Thanks for sharing...I am fine with them accepting some late...as long as they give those that got their packages in on time garenteed seats. then let the late pacakges compete for the leftover seats...that seems fair to me... :)

So let's get to know each other. I will start. I am a TSgt, been in 14 years. Right now, I am an air traffic controller, and I am stationed at Hickam. I got into University of TX Health Science Center San Antonio, nursing program.

I am a SSgt that has been in for 6 years. I am stationed at Scott AFB, IL/375 LRS. I am married with 2 kids. If the USAF signs off on me, I will be attending the nursing program at UMSL---University of Missouri Saint Louis.....Just another thing/question..I tested for tech, If i make tech will I still get to keep my line number..........The way I read it, you can test while in the NECP program but if you receive a line number before you are officially in the program then you get to keep your line number............any thoughts
