I just submitted my application to the Nurse Corps Scholarship, I just found out about this a few months ago anyone have any advice or tips? I am most worried by my SAI number. It is within the range but its on the upper end more than lower.

You are eligible if you:
Are a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized), a national, or a lawful permanent resident
Are an accepted or enrolled student in a nursing degree program at a United States accredited school of nursing
Begin classes no later than September 30
Don't have any federal judgment liens
Don't have an existing service commitment
Aren't overdue on a federal debt
Note: Preference to those who need the most help financially.
Why should you apply?
If you receive an award, you'll get a monthly stipend—and they'll pay your
tuition;
eligible fees;
reasonable costs (includes books, clinical supplies/instruments, and uniforms).

I know they also wanted my school to fill out my verification form for fall and Summer 2024
which they did and I uploaded .

I know the way I worded it didn't seem like it, but I am not sure myself but in the full room people were saying that they got the email so I just assume that they tell you that the email is not a final decision, but it really is. I'm hoping you get it too unfortunately for me I don't have the money and the administrator called me into the office today to tell me that I have till Friday to pay up or I can no longer come to school and they have to drop me so it's bittersweet for me. Maybe I'll try again another time.

I'm so sorry to hear that , I pray things turn out good for you and you get the scholarship, just be optimistic , I also don't want to Get my hopes high as well but hopefully I get it .

Thank you so much, but yeah, unfortunately I don't have till the end of the month the way the school is set up and I have no other financial aid or form of payment I have to drop so even if I do get awarded, the scholarship I'm gonna have to decline it
So you guys think that they already sent out all COIs or more will go out until the end of this week? 🥲
My guess is it'll be in batches. Depending on how many confirm from the first group will determine how many can go in the next and on and on until all the awards are exhausted

I just called & spoke with someone & she verified with her supervisor that the process includes a credit check on everyone & that they will continue to send emails until the end of September & to not get discouraged. I know that's soo hard because I'm in the same boat but hopefully this will help 🩷

Sorry I've been quiet, but ecstatic for those who received the COI, and hopeful for those who haven't yet. Don't lose hope. I just got my COI a minute ago. Still praying for it to be official - and praying for the rest of you to get it as well.
