Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

I am right there with you...got mine in at last minute as well, did not have every document labeled with name & id #, am in 3 year part time program while I work full time, single mom, 52, Hispanic origin, so...maybe those are red flags for someone. On other hand, 3.8 GPA, EFC 0, 30years as RN, on track for PMHNP. I heard Psych was going to receive greater percentage of awards as compared to previous years...but...I have not heard from any PMHNP here receiving award. Any other stats from anyothers waiting?

Does anyone know if you were sent the finalist email, will you receive the scholarship? Do you know when we will be notified? I'm getting a little anxious.

I just spoke with someone from HRSA and they said that the finalist will know by the 30th if we've been awarded. So everyone will know everything by the 30th

So that means even if we are a finalist and we confirm our intent for the award we may not get it?
