Greetings!
After binge reading the thread for 2015-2016, I decided it's time to start one for this year. I am a single mother opting to pursue a BSN after a post-quarter life crisis. Because I have multiple degrees, I have just about exhausted all of my financial aid options. I would like to hear from anyone applying for the scholarship. What's your story? What are your stats? Previous applicants and recipients I would like to hear your story too!
Starting at a private nursing school in May (with what little fin. aid I have left)
1 year AmeriCorps
1 year internship at group home for at-risk adolescents
5 years working with Dept. of Corrections (2.5 of which were counseling offenders)
EFC: 544
GPA: 3.9
Community service hours: 45
Location: GA
This scholarship cover your tuition and other things. It is complicated and requires a lot of planning and patience.

Start here, this will answer the majority of your questions about the scholarship.
I am curious to know how much of your schooling the scholarship will cover? Obviously, anything is super helpful, but curious nonetheless!
Everyone has been notified for this year. All notifications go out by 9/30. I would look through the thread, it will show you a lot about the timeline of the entire process. Good luck next year!
When are you guys supposed to hear back? I am thinking about applying for this scholarship the next round.

Are there any current nurses on this thread? I have to interview a nurse. I had asked a couple people I know weeks ago, and they all said yes, but I haven't heard from them.
It's due Friday and I'm getting close to the last minute. Any LPNs or RNs want to help a girl out?
