Hi all,

I've been reading up on the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program and looks like in past years, threads have been started for the yearly application process. I'll be applying as a Staff RN (non-faculty) working at a DSH with an HPSA Score of 16. Not sure of my DTI percentage yet. Hoping to connect with others that will be applying to the program next month and we can all share our updates here. Best of luck to everyone!

After 5 years of applying I was finally offered Nurse Corps award. DTI >200, Tier 1, Nurse Practitioner. Good luck to everyone! Thankful it happened now as my doctorate is now included. Fingers crossed counter-sign. Don't give up, keep applying! :)

Received a finalist email yesterday. NP, DTI>200%, site score 16.

However, when I went to sign my contract it stated '2 Year Contract for RN.' I applied as an NP and my employer submitted the verification as an NP. I called and they said they would send me a new contract soon, but I just want everyone to be aware!

Has anyone received a counter sign yet?

I received my finalist e-mail on the same day and have not gotten a countersign yet. Waiting patiently, or not so patiently. :)

I am anxiously waiting to hear from HRSA... but I am concerned because of my credit history. Can anyone tell me, or PM me of that is better: have you been awarded and have poor credit?? I'm really working on mine but when I noticed they pulled my credit, there was 1 loan defaulted (personal loan not anything school related) and credit card debt. I am very nervous thinking this will make me ineligible.

Your credit score shouldn't matter. I believe they do the credit check only to verify your loans with the documentation that was submitted.

Yay, so exciting! Do you mind sharing your approx DTI ratio? So far it seems advanced practice with more than 200% DTI.

It happened...yesterday got the finalist email for Nurse Corp LRP. NP, DTI approx 165%, site score of 14 or 16.

Hopeful more have received good news this week!

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone knows when we are notified that we did NOT get awarded? I'm just curious if no news is bad news lol. It appears that the good news emails are starting to happen but has anyone received bad news emails yet? Maybe they send those all on the last day :(
