Hi Fellow Nurses!

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the 2017 cycle opening?

I have applied several times and praying that 2017 is my year. I'm tier 1 - not faculty and not an NP.

Is anyone else out there?

In past years have awards still been given into September? Getting pretty discouraged.

Me too, this award determines if I can finally afford a mortgage. Plus, my monthly loan payments are going up this month.

Don't give up till sept 30, yes I have a lot of friends who got this some as early as July and as late as October. You're not out till sept 30th.

Does anyone know how you can tell if you got the co-signature. Will it be noted on the top of your application or will you get seperate notification? Thank you!!

How many signatures does the HRSA do on the contract? I just noticed there is an OFAM approval signature dated yesterday on my contract but I haven't received an email saying I received final approval yet. I received a finalist email on 7/28.

It's only one signature by the OFAM approver and it's found directly below your electronic signature. I received a signature on 8/30 and didn't get my Welcome Letter until today.

Guys! Got my email last night for NHSC loan repayment! It was 9/5 at 11pm exactly! My HPSA score is 16 and I'm a FNP. I am not from a disadvantaged background. There's still hope!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the "accepted award-under final review" stage. When looking at last years page it looks like prior recipients mentioned their award was really closer to 40% of loans after taxes were accounted for. I've messaged some of them to get more details about the taxes but I haven't heard back from them. Does anyone have more information on how taxes will work with the forgiveness aside from what's mentioned in the criteria pamphlet posted on the HRSA website? Thanks and good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back, don't give up hope yet!
