2017 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Published

Hi Fellow Nurses!

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the 2017 cycle opening?

I have applied several times and praying that 2017 is my year. I'm tier 1 - not faculty and not an NP.

Is anyone else out there?

So far still only Nurse Faculty who have received notifications. I haven't seen any Nurse Corps NPs or RNs with notifications yet.

**When you get an award, Please post your stats (role, tier, DTI ratio) so other people can know how far they've gotten down the list in each tier!**

A few observations:

1) Nurse Faculty are the only Nurse Corps that has been awarded so far. Also HRSA awards are being made.

2) They've made it to Tier 2 in nurse faculty, that's great news.

3) Looks like Tier 1 Nurse Faculty were awarded last Friday, Tier 2 started this Friday

4) Apparently, they like Fridays for awards but not exclusively. Some seem to have been awarded 7/3, but others were awarded last Friday and this morning.

Ok, so does anyone know how & when people were notified if they DID NOT receive the award?

The guidance packet says they will notify us no later than Sept. 30th if we do not receive an award.

so, DTI 50%, tier 15 facility...not much chance of receiving the award it sounds like?

still showing under review.

first time, long time btw, great board!

Oh this is great news for this Nurse Faculty, Tier 2, 140+%. Fingers crossed I get an email today too!!

What was your DTI pacp2015? I'm also tier 2 faculty and so excited to hear this news!

So for the release of the HRSA funds... were those faculty or everyone? I have applied to both programs and have found this site very helpful in trying to understand where in the process they are:)

It looks for HRSA LRP they are currently sending out rewards for nurse faculty and they've made it to Tier 2. I have not seen any others post for NP, RN, CRNA, CNS, etc. The rewards have been very sporadic and unpredictable. The first rewards for faculty were at the beginning of July and now they've just starting to send out more to faculty.

Thank you for the update, so nervous about the whole process, not a lot of support from NHSC when filling out, etc. I also took a look at reviews on website and there are some cranky people...hopefully all goes well for everyone

Wonder if the website being down tonight and tomorrow kept them from sending out awards today.......

I've been able to login to website yesterday and today?

DTI was 167%. What I will say is that they approved the majority of my loan amount which is still a significant amount. So hopefully that saves room for others.
