Hi Fellow Nurses!

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the 2017 cycle opening?

I have applied several times and praying that 2017 is my year. I'm tier 1 - not faculty and not an NP.

Is anyone else out there?

I received my award letter through nurse corps loan repayment- not any other program offered. Nurse faculty, tier 1

My credit check was completed 6/7/17. I'm a NP. Still no response. Under review.

Mine was through Nurse Corps LRP. I got my notification that I'm a finalist July 3. I'm nurse faculty.

So the only people who have found out so far are Nurse Corps Nurse Faculty (their credit checks were done earlier than NPs), and NHSC LRP, NOT NurseCorps NPs or RNs. So we can all still have hope, they're clearly doing it in batches like they did the credit checks.

I do recall mention of Trump eliminating loan repayment programs except those targeting faculty, however nothing has been passed, and it wouldn't apply to this year, unless he's directed agencies to hold loan repayment for non-faculty. I'm not sure he can do that if it's established by legislation, and further we know an NP in the NHSC was awarded, so I don't think that's the case.

I think we can all keep hoping.

Budget is almost identical to last yr for this prgram. We are good for this yr.

Still waiting as well. Staff RN, Tier 1, Ratio 158%, credit check 6/5/17 CREDCO. Still states "Under Review". However, if I don't get in this year, I will apply again as an NP in 2018 because I just finished/graduated NP school.

Crna here with 210% dti tier 1 facility score of 15. Credit check on 6/5. Not faculty. Haven't heard anything yet. What are your stats?
