2017 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Published

Hi Fellow Nurses!

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the 2017 cycle opening?

I have applied several times and praying that 2017 is my year. I'm tier 1 - not faculty and not an NP.

Is anyone else out there?

I was thinking the same thing there are 2 different programs. Not sure if the emails look different as far as being awarded. I am not an NP so I am not eligible for the NHSC, but in previous years it seems you can apply for both if you are an NP and decide which is best for you. I am going to finish my NP Certificate this year, but I know some NP's stated due to their facility they are only eligible for Nurse Corps and not NHSC, I have not looked too much into it yet.

NHSC, this one seems to go strictly by clinic score, there is no debt ratio to consider for this one. I did not apply for nurse corps because my income to debt ratio is 90 thus my chances are almost next to cero.

Would it be overkill if I asked your registration number? Lol. Mine was over 300,000. Just wondered if they were going in order?

Do y'all really think the registration number has any significance? I want to doubt there were 300k applicants.

I'm guessing it's more like that the registration numbers start in sequence from where they left off in previous years.

Hi, I am a CRNA, received credit score check on 6/5, any other CRNA heard anything or only faculty so far?

Mine is 339,536 I've not heard anything so far except a credit check.

Crna here with 210% dti tier 1 facility score of 15. Credit check on 6/5. Not faculty. Haven't heard anything yet. What are your stats?

I haven't heard anything either, applied for Nurse Corp LRP. Nurse faculty, tier 2, DTI - 116. Credit check May 18th. Fingers crossed that they are just delaying decisions to award. Haven't really seen too many on here being awarded for Nurse corp. I noticed most that have already been awarded are for NHSC. Good luck everyone.

Right, I was just hoping to find SOME sort of pattern. I just don't get it...but this has been a bad year for America. í ½í¹„í ¾í´¦*♂️

Agree, I wonder if this grant will be even available next year ;-(
