Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle

Hello All,

I am applying for the nurse corps loan repayment program 2016 cycle, I just spoke to a representative who told me the application cycle opens up tomorrow. For those of you who have applied any tips advice etc.? I am very excited about this opportunity because I have an outrageous amount of loans.

Has anybody ever heard of someone being offered the award and then not gotten countersigned? Are we just being anxious for no reason? Trying not to stress...

Countersigned yesterday!

RN DTI 210% site sore 14. This is my second year applying, I was shocked when last year I didn't receive my award but when I looked things over there were little mistakes here and there in the application. So this year I quadruple checked that everything was perfect. I've seen some people with higher DTIs and site scores not getting awards and I wonder if maybe there's a little mistake somewhere. Anyways, that's my theory. I was frustrated last year because people with lower numbers were getting it and I wasn't. Good luck to those who are still waiting!

I was countersigned, I was notified as a finalist on 8/5 if I remember.

By mistakes.....can you tell us some that maybe some of us aren't looking for close enough?

I think they meant last year...were you chosen as a finalist and then didn't get a countersign?

Last year I was "under review" the whole entire time until eventually I was denied...

What I mean by mistakes for example is that I left out a page on one of my private student loans. My wife also applied last year and she didn't send one of her school transcripts because it was a class that had nothing to do with nursing. I don't know if those are reasons to reject an application or not, it'.s just a theory.

NO. My contract began on August 8th, but no payment yet? UGHH!

Did it say wheno the first dispersment would go out?

It said by the end of the month following your award month. So by the end of October I imagine.
