Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle

Hello All,

I am applying for the nurse corps loan repayment program 2016 cycle, I just spoke to a representative who told me the application cycle opens up tomorrow. For those of you who have applied any tips advice etc.? I am very excited about this opportunity because I have an outrageous amount of loans.

Did you receive an email or have a status change in your portal, or just saw the signature when you opened your contract document?

To the RN that got countersigned, when did you sign your award acceptance agreement?

I am an NP and I accepted 8/13

It must be random order. RN debt to income 300%, score 15, signed my contract 8/5. Still no countersign sign.

At least I think it was THE counter signature. The person who signed it has the title of "OFAM Approver." HRSA says that it has to be countersigned by the Secretary of "Health and Human Services, or their designee." I'm not sure how to tell if this is the designee. For those who have been countersigned, can you let us know what the title of the countersigner is??

I recieved my finalist email 8/5 and I signed it 8/6. I haven't received an email or status update yet. I just opened my document and saw that there was another signiture.

Me too, status is still the same. I think others posted that it took another 1-2 days for the status to change and for the email. I'll post to let everyone know when I hear something else.

My signature also has the same title. hopefully it is the designee or at least is the last step to get the final countersign.

Ok so that must be THE countersign because I just logged in and my screen was different and I had my welcome packet and everything! YAY

Got countersigned today at noon by the same OFAM approver, RN,BSN DTI 260% facility score 21 notified 8/5 signed the same day so excited I am so ready for some debt relief. ;)
