Nurse auditor job as new grad?

Hi all,

I am in nursing school and almost finished, I just have to start and pass my preceptorship and the class with it. If all goes well, I graduate this summer. However, I am highly anxious of bedside nursing and have trouble desiring nursing in general. I am 24 and have never had a "real" job (just part-time retail). I don't want any particular career at all, and I pretty much went to nursing school because I thought it would bring some meaning to my days at work and it was a way to get a job. I went to nursing school because my parents thought it would be a good idea, and I thought it might be ok. It turns out, I had multiple "crises" and anxiety throughout the school, and despite getting good grades, I am terrified of all things clinical. I don't know how I will get through preceptorship this summer. Ok too much rambling and now to the point. I was wondering, is it possible to get a non-clinical nursing job as a new grad? Such as nurse auditor? I have to pay back my school debt somehow even if I don't do nursing for the rest of my life. And I have to support myself financially somehow because I am living at home (free rent) and absolutely sick of it! I want my own place. Any advice is much appreciated. Especially tips to get me through this preceptorship. Please help. :(

I don't know of any organization that would hire for that position without clinical experience first. However, if you enter "non-bedside" into the search box at the top of the page, you can see lots of threads on similar subjects over the years. Good luck to you.
