nurse appreciation gift

Published

I am a 3rd yr nursing student who is just finishing up a rotation on a medical ward. The nurses on the ward have been incredibly helpful and we want to show them our appreciation. Unfortunately my brain is filled to capacity and i am having trouble coming up with gift ideas. I was hoping that some fellow students or nurses out there could give me some hints. Thank you. :)

try a fruit basket for the unit.....we love them. food is great but easy on junk; Christmas is coming and we see PLENTY of that already.......a HUGE seasonal fruit basket is always well-received on our unit.

how NICE of you to show your gratitude this way. They will appreciate it, trust me.

Thanks for replying.. I know it's not a very exciting thread but i really needed an idea or two. thanks a lot. i am new to this site but it sure seems like there are a great bunch of people who really support each other. thanks again.

It is a wonderful idea to show your appreciation!

Have you thought about movie passes or gift certificates?

You can buy books of passes to theaters at a discount and AAA has some available at a discount.

I would recommend something besides food :)

Good luck

Hi;

You know what is a really nice gift--when we get various flavored coffee's and teas. That is always really appreciated.

My classmates and I wanted to do soomething different. Food and coffee and fruit are all wonderful and Nurse do liek to eat but, I cma up with the idea to Make a plaque for then nurses station. I called a local trophy store and we had a 5x7 wood with Bronze plaque made that Said Thank You for all you have done from The RSC May 2003 Nursing class. They hung it on the wall and as far as I know it is still there. They all loved it!
