For those who have taken the NCLEX, how many of your questions did you feel like you knew right off the bat or were able to easily deduce and answer? In contrast, how many did you feel as though you had no idea about the topic/question?

About 10/75. Seriously. It was hard.

There weren't too many that I didn't have a clue about, maybe 5 out of the 75. I'd say that maybe 20-25% I was very confident about and the rest I was able to rationalize and make an informed choice.

the test is designed so that you second guess yourself. i could always narrow the multiple choice down to 2 answers. i passed so i guess i knew more than i thought. i felt confident on about 10 or so questions but passed with 75 questions. good luck

I must have known enough but it certainly did not seem that way.

I had 75 questions and there were only about 5 or so that I totally had to guess on. There were several that I narrowed to 2 options and I sincerely hope my deductive reasoning was on target....but we will have to wait and see about that!!

Probably 10-15 of each for the 82 questions I had. Most of them I could narrow down to 2 answers. It really tests your critical and analytical thinking.

Felt certain on probably 30 or 40 of my 75. Decent guesses on most of the rest. Very few were just complete guesses.

Honestly, the only thing that threw me off was a 2-word phrase... it starts with an R and the second word was "superior" but even that I was able to narrow it down to 2 answers...
Everything else was pretty standard. No crazy/unheard of meds/dx/symptoms

I can honestly say maybe I was sure of just 1 question! no kidding. I had pretty much given up about half way through cuz I couldn't answer any question with certainty. I would narrow them down to 2 options and just go with my gut instinct hoping I was right!
I left that building feeling like an absolute failure, called my mom and bawl my eyes out. When my bf picked me up, I was crying so hard , he thought that I was going to pass out cuz I was hyperventilating:bluecry1:
Funny thing was, he had checked the trick before picking me and he got the good pop up. But at that time he didn't know what it meant...lol So there I was bawling my eyes out for about 10minutes and then he says" ummm.. I checked that that PVT thing you were talking about and it said to contact your board cuz you already resgistered"....
I didn't believe him tough cuz I "knew" there was no way I could have passed...lol
But I checked the trick and yep I got the good pop up:)
SO I'm keeping my fingers cross that this trick works!!!
