Hello everyone!

I am creating this for anyone who has been accepted to Nova's ABSN Winter program. I was accepted and I'm excited to meet/help anyone applying to the program as well.

Also how is everyone studying for the Kaplan?

Good luck on your interview , I’m watching Youtube videos and reading some questions to prepare.

The interview questions are about you. There is really nothing to stress about. I interviewed with another program and my entire interview was 6 minutes as they rushed me through it. They made me feel as though I need to prove why I deserve a spot in their program. When I interviewed at Nova, it was a completely different atmosphere. I was not rushed, nor was I made to feel as though I was competing with med students. They just want to make sure your heart is in the right place. Be yourself and be honest. You will be fine!

I deleted the one I created, as there was one made a few days ago that did not previously come up in a search. The name is "Nova Southeastern- Fort Myers ABSN Winter 2021".

Yes, I had the interview yesterday and I felt it went superb. I was able to convey who I am as a person and not just my academic and professional background. Dr Paul Victor is so kind and the program just seems like an awesome place to learn. I take the Kaplan tomorrow so I hope to have a definite answer in just a few more days. Thanks for checking!

That's awesome! that's exactly how I felt too. I am also taking the exam tomorrow but I'm not exactly sure how it works. Is someone supposed to be calling us or something before it starts?

I was asked to send my ID over to Linda, email is ls1908(at)nova(dot)edu and she will confirm with you that you will receive an email with the link to the test tomorrow morning once she has your ID. In other words, you'll get that email tomorrow morning and start your test around 9am. If that hasn't happened, check in with her to confirm now to make sure your test is in fact tomorrow. 

Also, it will be proctored, so have the room and everything ready for that with your external webcam and a silent house.

Thanks, I was only told to contact her if I had any schedule changes, which I don't. Guess I will send her an email to make sure now.

Well guys, I got a 92% today on the Kaplan.

I hope everyone else today is happy with their scores and I look forward to joining the official list of the Winter 2021 class very soon.

That's awesome, CONGRATS! By chance, do you know how NOVA is looking at these scores? I read somewhere that it was just to see where you are at but I'm not sure as other schools look at the subsection scores, others the overall, etc.
