Hello perspective nursing classmates! Applying to any nursing program is nerve wrecking but I'm hoping this thread will allows us to help each other and support one another during this difficult process. Some of us have been through this more than once; hopefully it will be the last. I want to wish all of us the best of luck!
yes i bought 2 scrubs from the nsu uniform store, i spent like 82 bucks on both with embroidery. i also purchsed the lab coat. i bought some which crocs for shoe wear and i had a g shock and a scope that my mom gave me. i already completed my vaccines/ background check. the only thing im pending is to pay my tuition which i will do next week and books. i will purchase my books next week when i get paid. so many expenses!!!!! lol im trying to get the least amount of debt possible. i received financial aid, scholarship and i got a gov't loan. so my expenses are covered. it will be worth it in two years when we are all graduating together =] we will look back at this and smile.

Hey guys I purchased my scrubs today from the same vendor that Nova uses and it is way cheaper. The website is www.alluniformwear.com and you can find out which location is closest to you. The way they did is if you buy the scrub top from them, the engraving is only $2 to do. If you bring in scrubs that you already bought, it's $5 to do the engraving.
We're only a month away from school guys! Hopefully we can agree to meet somewhere sometime this month! Jani and I already met at the last Nova open house. Hopefully I get to meet some of you before schools starts. What about the week of the 12th??? Let me know what you guys think!
Hey everyone, I got in contact with Jerziana. For those who don't know, she's a fall student at Nova. I asked her about the books and this was her reply:
the NUR3160 dont worry about it ... we didnt use it.. the Anatomy i would get and the math one cause you will need it throughout your term at nova.... Dont purchase the APA workbook.. The test taking success no one used it i bought it to see if it would help but it really didnt... its cheap but i would wait on it.... its really just for you to help you critical think and how to study stuff like that
So far we of course need the Physio and math books! Im not sure about the others.

Hey Guys,
So today I went to Nova to pick up a scrub top that I ordered and handle something at the bursar's office. Before I left, I called Admissions to ask them for an update on my residency and after getting the run-around, someone was finally able to talk to me. After I gave her my info, she came back on the phone and said 'Sorry we dont have you on file' and I know for a fact I turned in all my residency forms. In the end, it turns out my file was in the August pile because I turned in those papers in July. I guess they figured that I was a fall student. Anyone who is still considered as 'out-of-state and turned in their RESIDENCY FORMS in August or sometime earlier, I would call and endure the run-around until you talk to someone who can fix it. Anyone who turned in their info recently, I still would call. We have to stay on top of things otherwise it will look like we didnt do our part and turn our stuff in. And keep the copies of everything you turn in.
