Has anyone applied for the Nova BSN program starting Jan 2010? If so, have you received any letters regarding the status of your application and when did you apply? What was your cummulative g.p.a and are you currently taking any pre-reqs? I applied mid August and still haven't received anything by mail. :(

Hello.... I've also been accepted to Nova for Janurary 2010. My GPA was only a 2.9, but I guess they liked my essay/interview. I live in Homestead and have applied for the Baptist Scholars program... I have my interview TODAY! I am SOOOOO nervous! I wish everyone luck, if anyone has questions about the Nova interview let me know. Say a lil prayer for me too!

Smile Love, i also have my interview today! Sooo nervous!!!

I have my interview what type of questions did they ask for the baptist interview. What was it like. Is is a group interview

I have my interview tommorow what type of questions did they ask was it a group interview

Hi... Well I think they may change up the questions for each applicant but this is basically what they asked me:

1. What is more important, the job itself or the salary?

2. When is a time you had to think on your feet?

3. How would you settle a dispute with a co-worker?

4. What is the biggest mistake you have made in your life?

5. How do you cope with difficult situations?

6. What would you do if your co-worker told you she was going to call out the next day and leave you short staffed?

7. What would you do if you had a difficult patient?

(Tips: Stay calm and be honest, if you have never had a problem with a coworker tell them, and explain what you might do if you did have an issue)

Thats all i can really remember... But what they ALSO told me was that they are more interested in the interview more then the GPA. They are all about customer service and pt satisfaction. They told me it would be 7-10 days before I hear anything so I'm praying... Good luck to you as well.

They did not ask me any of those questions! I personally thought the interview questions were much easier than the NOVA questions. BTW i would just like to say, that i dont think it is right you are actually posting the questions they asked. You do realize we are COMPETING for this? It is NOT right and very unfair to others that interviewed without having pre knowledge of the questions. Just thought that was obvious...

well bvp910 i came to this blog for advise, to gain some insight and share our experiences and that is what i offered. the questions i mentioned are generic questions that any interview website will tell you to expect. also, just because you may have an idea of what you are going to be asked does not mean you are going to get it, your true colors will shine though in the interview and yours just did. also you are an example of being asked completely different questions.

unfortunately you are what is wrong with society. you are trying to climb to the top of the cliff by pushing everyone else off. it is clear that all you care about is you, so much for compassion right? what is unfair is that someone may be your patient one day. if you are meant for the scholars program or anything else for that matter- then it will happen, regardless of the circumstances. i don't wish ill towards you, but i hope your priorities change. if people stopped being so selfish and self-absorbed then the world would be a better place.

I strongly agree with smilelovejoy! we are going to be a family soon and some people should not be acting in a rude manner! instead of bringing each other down we should be helping each other out! Besides the questions that they ask ALWAYS change, that how it was for my NOVA interview! i HAVE my Baptist interview today i hope that u guys pray 4 me :)

wow this i one of the most ridicolous things i have read! and how am i "pushing people off"? by not telling them the questions they asked me? fortunately the baptist interviewers are smarter than that and know there are people like you, who give other unfair advantages, so they change the questions. thank god for that!! how can you tell me i am what is wrong in this society? do you know me? no! i do agree with you, on the fact that if you get the scholarship it's because it was meant for you, however calling me selfish and self absorbed because im saying you shoud not be posting private questions is hilarious! if you come here and reveal private info, i question your ethics!! as a nurse you will be responsible for alot of personal information. seriously the last thing i want to do is argue, but anyone knows that what i wrote in my first post to you is only common sense and is only courteous to others who have interviewed before.
