NRSE 4550 Evidence based practice starting Jan 13

I'm loving the break from lengthy papers. I feel like this class has been much less time consuming than the other nursing classes I have taken. Hope I didn't speak too soon!

Cannot even get into this class! I am not doing badly on the quizzes but cannot get into these DB posts. Does not interest me in the least. 3 more weeks. Hope it goes quick!

I know, it's a real snoozer.... hang in there, it will be over before you know it. Keep your eye on the prize.

Not entirely helpful so far but I will say that for this week the videos on dependent and independent variable have been very helpful

Anyone take the second quiz yet? I did and I have to say I wasn't a fan. Maybe my mind just wasn't into this stuff today.

I am not a fan. and I read and reread the stuff - study guide parts - sigh. I think at this point - I will be thrilled if i don't have to repeat this class - since a B- is only a test away. I aim for As but this class is really hard for me to get my head wrapped around - not sure whether it is the subject or the weird tests...prob both....It is 859 pm - more study. Sleep is overly rated.....This quiz 2 was way harder - I thought - .

after writing in somewhat questionable tone of whether anyone actually found the videos and extras helpful (see earlier question) - in desperation - I watched the first one on the scientific method - not sure how much it helped overall - but the guy is cute and I like what he said at the end - asking questions is what the scientific method is all about - even if some really smart person is saying some "scientific" stuff.

Someone on the FB page said the Evolve website was a really big help. Apparently a lot of the quiz questions are coming from there.....which explains a lot. I remember using those sample questions to prep for exams in the past. They are hard!

I have done the Evolve questions a few times, it helped me to understand the material but I never saw any duplicate questions pop up on the quiz. I am done with this weeks work! wahoo! Quiz three not bad. Study guide is very helpful. I'm glad they extended the time. I didn't run out of time before but now I can relax and take my time. Good luck everyone!

This is my last class. I've probably put a total of about two hours into this class. I haven't studied at all. I had about an 80% but after taking the extra credit quiz I now have a 93%. Can't beat that. Beats writing papers. Glad to be done with this hoop jumping program. The only class I actually enjoyed was Nutrition because it was the only applicable class.

Did you already take NRSG 4600? I was under the impression that we had to take 4600 last and other classes could be taken in any order. The reason I ask is because I can finish the program sooner if I can take 4600 before 4560.

I took 4600 as my 3rd to last class because of availability. I had to get it cleared by my advisor first though.
