Anyone in with me? For those of you who have already taken the class...what should we expect? Quizzes? lengthy papers? Is it pretty much like the other nursing classes? Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
In looking back over Quiz 1, am I the only one that found it hard to do even with the study guide?? I did ok on it - but still....
No, it was a difficult test but not impossible or un passable. A majority of the questions are application so understanding how to apply the concepts is key to taking these tests.
The other thing I have to so take a deep breath and not watch that damn ticking time clock. Don't let the testing process play games with your head. I also have found for me don't rush taking the test, I try to take the test not before thursday and best to take on Saturday that way I have had ample time to read and review. Best to you and to all of us!

Good points - I was hoping to take it tonight before the snow storm slams into us and takes out all the power! But, since the Ta said they were not going to have us do a repeat of it - I am not taking any chances- just a few minutes ago the lights were flickering and at half power! yikes! I think I will wait till later to take the quiz - don't want to have the quiz be interrupted by the snow storm!
I took the second quiz this morning. I felt it was the same level of difficulty as the first, no harder no easier. My strategy is to spend most of the week reading the text, I complete my DB first and then read again. I take the test as late in the week as my schedule will allow so that I have time to really understand all the material. I am a little old fashion in that I do take notes from the chapter. My study methods are time consuming not time efficient. I actually got a better score on this quiz then the first. The 1st test I missed 3 questions, the 2nd I missed 1.
Psych yourself up not out! best of luck to all.
I still have a high B. Just gotta hold on for 3 more weeks....ugh. This class is going as predicted for me. These "quizzes" are brain numbing but could you imagine trying to write a 2-5 page paper about doing research? I do all the readings, use the study guide...and feel like there's a disconnect somewhere once the test starts. It would be helpful if the DB actually helped to illustrate the main points of the dry as toast readings.
Technically I passed both quizzes with Bs but now I'm worried. Gotta love nursing, where anything below an 85 is seen as the precipice to failure. At least there's extra credit available this week!

Not sure - but certainly it is a worthy topic for a future critique of your - hopefully - published research!
